ROLE DESCRIPTION
Form Energy is hiring a Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting to play a critical part in the preparation and filing of our periodic SEC reports. This role reports into our Assistant Controller. As part of our Controllership team, you will contribute to ensuring complete compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations in partnership with Finance, Legal, and external auditors. This is a hybrid role, which will require working onsite from our office 3 days per week.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Assist in the end-to-end preparation, drafting, and filing of periodic SEC reports including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K.
- Prepare clear, accurate financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A disclosures.
- Manage the detailed XBRL tagging and review process for all filed financial statements to ensure compliance with SEC mandates.
- Evaluate the impact of new accounting standards (US GAAP/SEC) on the company’s financial statements and draft technical accounting memoranda.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors, managing preparation and timely delivery of PBC schedules and inquiries.
- Maintain and enforce internal controls over financial reporting (SOX 404 compliance) relating to the financial reporting cycle.
- Maintain the reporting tie-out binder and supporting documentation to ensure 100% accuracy of all financial metrics and disclosures.
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline the financial reporting process and optimize reporting software/tools.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
- 3–5 years of professional accounting experience; a mix of Big 4/large regional public accounting and corporate SEC reporting experience preferred.
- Deep understanding of US GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, and financial statement presentation.
- CPA license (active or actively pursuing) highly preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Experience with specialized SEC reporting software (Workiva) highly desirable; Oracle ERP experience a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills, exceptional written and verbal communication, and ability to manage strict deadlines with minimal supervision.
WHERE YOU'LL WORK:
This role is based at Form Factory 1 in Weirton, WV—an easy commute from the city of Pittsburgh, PA. This 550,000-square-foot facility is our hub for high-volume battery production and a leader in the new era of American energy manufacturing. Relocation assistance is available.
